Cylindrical cow magnet measures 3 inches long x .50 inch in diameter. Durable alnico cow magnet is made from ALuminum, NIckel, and CObalt.
This alnico magnet is great for science projects!!
Why is it called a cow magnet? Farmers implant one inside each cow to help prevent hardware disease. The magnet attracts the stray wire and nails that cows sometimes eat and prevents the debris from traveling to other parts of the cow to cause damage. (No worries--THIS magnet was never inside of a cow!)
Usage tips: Avoid dropping or banging. A magnet that has been dropped or impacted by force can lose its magnetism--its domains can get misaligned.
Storage: Store all magnets away from electronics, high heat, and direct sunlight.
